District Missionary

Evangelist Sarah Harris-Rogers, a native of Wilmington, North Carolina, was educated in the New Hanover County School System.  She is a graduate of John T. Hoggard High School and later continued her education at Cape Fear Community College as a Certified Nurse’s Aide-1 in 1982.

She has been the owner and operator of Sarah’s Gifts and Baskets for 17 years.  She is also the founder and organizer of WOMEN-2-WOMEN MINISTRIES“, which the Lord impressed upon her heart to start in March of 2006.  Over the years, the Lord has proven himself to be her Savior, Healer, Deliverer, Provider, Comforter and much, much more.  She is a member of Faith Temple Ministerial Staff where Elder Lorenzo Edge is her pastor.  She has served in numerous capacities such as Trustee Board member, Pastor Aide President, Sunshine Band President, Sunday School, Women’s Department President, etc.  She has been a Licensed Evangelist of the Church Of God In Christ, Inc. worldwide for 35 years.  She was appointed and installed on October 27, 2006 to the office of District Missionary of the Greater Wilmington District of the Church Of God In Christ, where she presides over the women of three Churches.

Evangelist Rogers has a special love for Senior Citizens from whom she has gained much wisdom and knowledge from her favorite scripture, All My Help Cometh from the Lord. Psalm 121:2

Evangelist Rogers was married to Deacon Ulysses Rogers, Jr. for 29 wonderful years before the Lord called him from labor to reward on February 7, 2011.  To this union was born two sons, Ulysses III and Kevin.

She said she has “A Charge to Keep, A God to Glorify” and “If I can help somebody, my living will not be in vain.”
